The Pranab Mukherjee Public Library is located within the premises of the Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum. The building sits at the center of a circular layout and looks very beautiful from the outside, with a distinctive circular architecture and multiple entrances. You can spot it on the way from the museum towards Rashtrapati Bhavan, and visitors going towards Amrit Udyan will circle around it. However, the library is not open to the general public and is accessible only to residents within the Rashtrapati Bhavan premises. Still, it is an impressive structure to admire while visiting the area.

Very good library with all historical information
The library building was a dilapidated structure which was scheduled for demolition. It was renovated into a public library for use by residents of the Rashtrapati Bhavan estate and their children by the president Pranab Mukherjee during his first year of stay at the Bhavan. The library houses 1,525 old and rare books of the Rashtrapati Bhavan along with a rich audio-visual section.
