This premier institution of the country needs to look beautiful and neat. This is not just any sarkari building. The car park needs an attendant cum security, the front needs a good landscape, there was a pile of garden waste and other stuff next to the exit, afterall this historical building shares space with other equally important buildings in the vicinity right in the heart of the capital. The staff at the entrance is courteous.

The reading room is open on all five days except Saturdays. Academic environment is excellent, contains a large number of books and journals. The ICSSR is located on the same premise. Best place for social science research.
Good place, staff of Indian Council of Historical Research is also good, Clean Environment and office floor also clean, place near by Mandi house metro station distance appx 400 meter and staff take care of Social distancing in Office, Library is also Good.
The ICHR LIBRARY has almost all historical research papers published and almost all the ebooks in history. Although there is no membership, the scholar can come and avail facilities showing their identity card.tge library staff is very much cooperative.
