A clean , large and magnificent library. All kinds of newspapers are available, different kinds of competitive books and general books are also there for free as well on the ground floor, and on the first floor we can take our books for study,as we can spend a healthy time there with our books and studies. The staffs are really nice, polite and helpful at this library, whichever book we need we can just let them know they will find out that book and give that to us. A nice place is also available here for lunch we can spend our entire time without any disturbances. Washrooms are also very clean so u can come at any time and spend your time with your favourite books.
ββΏ β π³οΈβπ β π» βπ β π° β π³ One of the oldest public libraries in Delhi NCR. It was established in the year 1956. Very good library run by the Dayal Singh trust. Life time membership is very economical and the members can take 4 books at a time with 14 days of return policy. There is a big space for reading in the library as well. The reading area is quite peaceful. During my visit to this library I found around 50 students studying there from various faculties. At present renovation work is going on and hence it is full of dust here and there. The library has over 50K documents in a variety of languages including but not limited to English, Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu. The head librarian is a very gentle person working here for about 28 years and operating almost lonely in this calm and peaceful environment. The library is not accessible to wheelchair βΏ at present. They accept payment through cash as well as all the digital modes including credit card. This place is π³οΈβπ LGBTQ friendly.
