Great place for book lovers and to buy utility stationery at affordable prices. Space wise its much more more organised than the old location on the footpath. There are three categories of stalls - one the regular fiction / literature books freshly printed but with much lower quality than the originals which is understandable since the cost is minimal. Two, the pre loved books, coffee table books, library / collectors feel good books etc. And three, the medium quality stationery for college / school going children. Now the USP, the Price... Fiction / literature 100-350 is very affordable, second category also is at affordable prices, depending upon what you like and stationery if bought in bulk is considerably lower than local market. But, dont forget to negotiate the price, trick is buy two to three books from the same stall to get a good discount rather than buying one each from different stalls. However one thing that I missed is that earlier on in yesteryears the seller used to be absolutely aware & knowledgeable about his inventory, to the extent that he was capable of telling you whether he has that particular book here for sale or not and if not the recommending you an alternative. Sadly, none of the services was evidently available this time around. I am sure a few old school guys must be there only that I was not lucky to encounter them. Overall a Must Go To Place and Happy Hunting.... for your favourites for Good reads.

Huge variety, great prices, and amazing value for money. Highly recommended – go and purchase! 📚
Open-air Sunday book market with a huge range of books in both Hindi and English. There’s a good mix of fiction, non-fiction, business, textbooks, and children’s books, making it a fun place to browse and pick up a bargain.
Negative side It is no longer the big market it used to be, when it used to be held on Sundays on the footpath of Daryaganj Road. Now, this market has become very small and limited, concentrating solely within the Mahila Haat. This has led to a decline in the number of book sellers. Mostly everyone has the same books in the market, there are not many options. Most sellers stock pirated books and sell them at low prices. The quality of the books is often poor. Everyone will find similar books in the entire market, especially novels.Whatever is trending, they make pirated copies of it and sell them. sometimes some of the content is missing from pirated books. There are only a few good books that you will keep seeing again and again on every seller, and new books are very difficult to find. There are only a few stationery shops now. Since there are only a few shops, they have fixed rates. Otherwise in the earlier market there were many stationery shops. Most of the shops now keep novels and comics or famous books, there are not many good books for competitive exam preparation, only old books are available. Earlier, there was a lot of study material available in the book market for competitive exams like SSC, UPSC, NEET, JEE, CAT, JAM, etc. but now it is not so. Only 3 or 4 shops of NCERT books in the market. Postive side It's a good big book market situated on delhi gate daryaganj. You can find any kind of book in this market. It's situated on mahila haat, nearby metro station is delhi gate metro station and so many nearby bus stands. Nearby landmark is GB pant and LNJP Hospital. Books are available at very cheap prices. A very good positive side of this market is you can find anything like anything in this market. Stationary, maps, atlas, old coins, old documents, archives, and any kind of book.
